DMRC orders probe into Delhi Metro CCTV footage on porn sites

After acute embarrassment, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has finally ordered an internal investigation into alleged CCTV footage depicting couples' intimacy that went viral.

Taking cognizance of the reported leak of the CCTV footage on YouTube and other websites, DMRC is learnt to be conducting a thorough probe and sought help from Delhi Police. The corporation has also lodged formal complaint with the Delhi Police Cyber Crime cell.

"DMRC is conducting an internal inquiry into the reports of circulation of objectionable video clips. The management has already reported the issue to the Cyber Crime cell of the police," said a DMRC official.

In the Metro visuals, couples have been recorded indulging in intimate acts during late-night trips. A Hindi daily claims that more than 250 such clips in near-empty trains have made their way into international porn websites, and that it has been happening since 2011.
