'Digital India Experience Zone' to Take Center Stage at 18th G20 Summit

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Government of India, is all set with its initiative to provide hands-on experience on Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and the transformative power of Digital India to G20 delegates. The Digital India Experience Zone is set to be a key attraction at the summit aiming to demonstrate how technology can improve ease of living, doing business, and governance.

New Delhi is prepared to host this historic event as a culmination of discussions among ministers, senior officials, and civil societies, as the world eagerly awaits for the 18th G20 Summit.

Under India's presidency, the G20 has reached a groundbreaking consensus on the future of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and this summit will serve as a platform to showcase India's success in implementing DPIs.

What will be showcased in the Digital India Experience Zone?

The seven key initiatives that have been selected to showcase India's best practices in implementing Digital Public Infrastructure (DPIs) are

  • Aadhaar

The exhibit will feature a live demonstration of Aadhaar face Authentication Software allowing the delegates and attendees to interact with cutting-edge technology.

  • DigiLocker

Attendees will come to learn how DigiLocker streamlines processes and enhances efficiency across various sectors including education, finance, banking, travel, transport, real estate, legal, and judiciary.

  • Unified Payment Interface (UPI)

The UPI exhibit will demonstrate the global applications of UPI, and how it enables seamless transactions using QR codes.

  • eSanjeevani

This is a digital platform that offers online consultations with doctors from various specialties, provides real-time health analysis, and e-prescription, and improves healthcare accessibility.

DIKSHA offers a digital platform for educational resources. It will offer an intuitive experience for visitors to explore its extensive content.

This will showcase real-time speech-to-speech translation in multiple Indian languages and six UN languages.

  • Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC)

This exhibit will showcase how ONDC collaborates with sellers, customers, and network providers on a grand scale.

Visitors will also be able to explore the G.I.T.A applications which is designed to provide answers to life-related questions in alignment with the holy book Shrimad Bhagwad Gita.

In addition to showcasing India's DPI successes, the exhibition will take G20 delegates through a journey of major milestones of Digital India since 2014. It will highlight the advancements that have been made in digital space offering an insight into DPI's core principles and the evolution of Digital India initiatives.
