DigiLocker Invites Online Applications from Graduates and Postgraduates for Internship

DigiLocker, an online digital locker service provided by the Ministry of Electronics and IT, Government of India, has invited online applications from motivated and committed graduates and postgraduates (MTech/MCA/MS) in any field with computer programming skills. The DigiLocker internship would be conducted for a period of 3 months to a year.

The purpose of the internship would be to provide an opportunity for individuals to substantively contribute to as well as learn from existing work that is taking place. The intern will be given specific tasks and responsibilities and will be challenged to develop their capabilities and gain experience, says the official website of the app.

Who can Apply for the DigiLocker Internship?

Candidates with a graduation degree in any field along with relevant computer programming skills can apply. Furthermore, candidates who have a postgraduate degree in MTech, MCA, or MS would be preferred. There is an opening of 4 to 5 interns at any time.

DigiLocker Internship: What are the Opportunities Available?

Selected candidates have the option of working in a wide range of areas such as:

  1. Mobile app development for both Android and iOS.
  2. Backend tasks such as: Language: PHP, Python, Java, NodeJS or any other language; Database: MariaDB, GraphQL, restQL, or MongoDB; and APIs: Rest API development in any language.
  3. Understanding of Micro Services including Docker based development and serverless programming.
  4. Frontend tasks such as AngularJS, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.

Nature of DigiLocker Internship and its Benefits

Since DigiLocker is a citizen-centric application built by the Government of India, contributing to this project means serving the citizens of India in providing better service delivery, says the official website. Candidates engaged as interns will need to work from home on the OpenForge platform for a period of three to 12 months.
