DigiLocker Invites Applications from Professionals for Various Vacancies with the Government of India

DigiLocker has invited applications from ‘young and dynamic’ graduates for various vacancies with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), under Digital India Corporation, a non-profit company of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. Selected candidates will get to work at alternative locations within India as required by NeGD, and the period of engagement will depend on the duration of the project.

Selected candidates should be able to join immediately, and will be expected to strive to match the performance so as to ensure that the responsibilities are achieved within agreed time frames to the best satisfaction of the Management of NeGD, says the DigiLocker website. DigiLocker is currently looking to hire professionals for the following vacancies:

Lead Product Designer: Professionals with five years’ experience in designing consumer or SaaS applications can apply for the vacancy available in New Delhi. The applicant needs to have deep knowledge of modern web UI patterns, and proven expertise in turning complex business problems into simple and engaging products for the web and mobile.

UI or UX Designer: Professionals with over three years’ experience in designing consumer or SaaS applications, and strong command of interaction design, visual design, and information architecture with a mind for simplicity of design, and so on can apply for the vacancy.

Front-End Developer: Candidates with a passion for creating pixel-perfect and high performance user interface, and experience in Bootstrap, HTML5, JQuery, CSS3, UI performance optimization, Angular JS, React JS, Node JS, Vue JS, PHP, Codeigniter, MongoDB, and other related domains can apply.

Back-End Engineer Engineer- Kafka/Spark: Professionals who are capable of developing and operating scalable, flexible, and high-performance infrastructure systems on premise and in the cloud. Can apply for the vacancy, the key skills required are Python/PHP / Java/Rest Big Data/ Spark, Python/PHP, Java, Kafka, Devops, and infrastructure systems.

App Product Manager: Candidates with 10 to 15 years of experience in building or owning mobile apps can apply for the vacancy. The key skills required are product management, product research, product vision, user experience and mock-ups.

DevOps Engineer: Candidates between the ages of 23 and 25, who hold a university degree in the field of computer science, engineering graduate or equivalent can apply. The applicant must have demonstrated technical qualifications administering and utilizing Jenkins at scale for build management and continuous integration, and so on.

Lead Mobile Developer (Android): Candidates between the ages of 23 and 25, and graduates in any stream with sound knowledge of Android Development can apply. Applicants are required to have minimum of 4 years in mobile application development, and knowledge in developing Restful API JSON data format handling, etc.

Java Developer: Candidates between the ages of 25 and 35, and graduate with excellent analytical and SW development skill can apply. 1 to 5 years experience in software development for any startup or any product company would be desirable.
