Dell has emerged as the iSCSI storage market leader for the 3rd consecutive year as per the iSCSI storage Brand Leader survey 2013. The survey states that Dell has done a better job of educating the market about the benefits of iSCSI storage than any other company. Currently, Dell is leading the introduction of enterprise-class 10GbE-based iSCSI storage into larger and larger datacentres resulting in IT professionals selecting Dell as the iSCSI Storage Market Leader for the third straight year of this survey.Â
Â
The survey respondents further chose Dell as a leader in six categories including Market, Price, Performance, Reliability, Innovation and Service & Support. The survey results indicate that for iSCSI storage, the breadth of Dell's capabilities stands out in an ultra-competitive field.
Â
The iSCSI Brand Leader Reports are designed to measure the pulse of brand leadership in specific product categories using surveys with at least 100 respondents. Major storage manufacturers position iSCSI as a component level interface option. Since the acquisition of EqualLogic, Dell has successfully positioned iSCSI as architecture for more cost-effective networked storage and LAN/SAN convergence. In terms of IT perceptions, Dell's marketing strategy has paid off and Dell has become the perennial brand leader in iSCSI Storage.
Â
"While operational cost is a consideration, we strive to ensure our company is as energy efficient as possible. Dell's iSCSI storage solutions have helped us to achieve our goal of improving communications globally while meeting our green standards. Dell's ability to cater to the needs of every customer with their strong product line makes them stand out from competition. Our best wishes to the team at Dell for being recognised as the market leader for the third consecutive year." -Â Ashok Sethi, CIO, Sapient Corporation
