DeitY finalizes Accenture to assess semiconductor fabs proposals

The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) has selected Accenture to assess investment proposals from vendors interested in setting up semiconductor fabs unit in India.

Accenture will develop a business proposal template, project appraisal template, and Letter of Intent (LoI) covering terms and conditions set by the DeitY for establishing such units. It will do an exhaustive assessment of all business proposals received by the DeitY.

Accenture will require conducting site visits, interacting with suppliers, do market surveys, and feasibility study as a part of the due diligence process for the detailed assessment of the proposals. The financials of the deal was not revealed.
