HCL Tech Wins MSC Software
Contract
HCL Technologies has announced that its subsidiary, HCL America, has
inked a multi-million dollar agreement with MSC Software to participate in the
“One-Oracle” global rollout Oracle 11i applications project. The
implementation will include the complete suite of Oracle applications, including
financial, CRM, distribution, project and human resources modules.
Barclays Implements RSA Monitoring
Solution
RSA Security has announced that Barclays Bank has launched the RSA
Transaction Monitoring solution to further protect its online banking users. The
solution authenticates users behind-the-scenes and detects online fraud while
placing no burden on consumers. Earlier this quarter, RSA Transaction Monitoring
was implemented and integrated for Barclays, and has been in production ever
since.
Fujitsu Siemens Chooses ATI
Mobility Radeon X1800
Fujitsu Siemens has selected ATI's high-end Mobility Radeon X1800
mobile graphics solution for its new AMILO Xi 1546 multimedia notebook, ATI
Technologies said in a press release. “ATI's Mobility Radeon X1800 is

and performance. That makes ATI's latest mobile technology a perfect fit for

Thai Bank to Implement CashTech
Solution
CashTech Solutions has partnered with TMB Bank in Thailand to provide
cash management solutions. TMB Bank will use CashTech's solution
TransactCashIn to provide services in the areas of collections, receivables and
liquidity management. TransactCashIn Collections enables banks to offer better
cash flow planning and optimal utilization of funds for their corporate
customers.
Oracle to Develop Single Database
for I-T Dept
The Income Tax Department has selected Oracle to drive its e-delivery
of taxpayer services project across the country. The department has chosen
Oracle database and Oracle Fusion Middleware as the platform to develop a single
National Database, based on 3-tier mode architecture to increase efficiency and
improve citizen services. Director general (Systems), Department of Income Tax,
VS Mathur said that the e-Delivery of taxpayers service project is an initiative
of the Ministry of Finance and one of the largest e-governance projects
undertaken by the Government of India. “Oracle will consolidate the existing
36 regional database into a single database. All 745 Income tax offices in 510
cities will be linked to this single national database,” Mathur said.
HCL Comnet Inks Deal
HCL Comnet, a subsidiary of HCL Technologies, has signed a deal with
Marico, to manage its network and security infrastructure. HCL will also upgrade
Marico's existing VSAT network to a terrestrial MPLS (Multi Protocol Label
Switching) network. With the signing of this deal, HCL Comnet becomes Marico's
single point contact for its Major part of Network and complete Security
infrastructure requirements.
Satyam, Nissan Signs Deal
Satyam Computer Services has signed a five-year deal to maintain,
support, and enhance the application portfolio for Nissan North America. The
deal encompasses an application portfolio spanning multiple business functions,
multiple plants and locations and multiple business units. Nissan has selected
Satyam to manage all its mission critical business applications, in its key
North American market.
LogicaCMG Wins Contract
LogicaCMG has announced that it has won a contract from Hewlett
Packard (HP) for the implementation of NetEconomy's ERASE compliance manager,
an anti-money laundering (AML) solution for the Bank of Baroda. In addition,
LogicaCMG will implement an integrated payments messaging solution for the bank.
Bharti, Nortel Sign Deal
Bharti Tele-Ventures has entered into a five-year managed services
agreement with Nortel to host contact center services for the subscribers of
Bharti's Airtel GSM mobile, broadband and fixed line services. According to a
Bharati statement, Nortel will create a Network Operations Center (NOC) in New
Delhi that would provide network design, integration, support and maintenance
services.
