TCS Wins MAS Contract

TCS has signed a five-year contract with Malaysia Airlines (MAS). The
partnership is a part of MAS strategic IT outsourcing program to transform the
IT operations of the airlines, as part of MAS business transformation plan
(BTP2) to deliver seamless internal customer experience. TCS will undertake IT
infrastructure management of MAS data centers, IT networks and IT security. TCS
will also set up an ITIL V3 compliant service management organization under a
unique build, operate and transfer methodology for MAS.

Mahindra Satyam Wins Denmark Deal

Mahindra Satyam has signed a new four-year offshore contract with KMD, a Denmark
based IT company. KMD, which specializes in the public sector, signed a renewed
contract with Mahindra Satyam for the next four years, worth approximately $48
mn ending in December 2013. The new contract is an extension of a previous
contract that was due to expire this year.

TIME Picks Excelsoft for Mock CAT

Mysore based Excelsoft, an e-learning and e-assessments technology company, was
selected by TIME, Indias training institute for CAT preparation, to deliver
over 3.5 lakh fault-free online mock CAT exams in a span of about twenty weeks.
With CAT going online, TIME offered a comprehensive series of mock tests online
during the run up to CAT 2009 for all their students using Excelsofts flagship
product SARAS for the test and assessment sector. Excelsoft hosted the platform
on Amazon cloud computing infrastructure that provided flexibility to scale
up/down the hardware infrastructure depending on the expected load.
