Verizon Award for Subex
Subex has been selected as a recipient of Verizon's 2007 Supplier Excellence
Award.
The award recognizes Subex for its outstanding effort and achievement in
demonstrating performance excellence through the deployment of its Moneta
Revenue Assurance solution across multiple Verizon next-generation services. By
improving data processing accuracy, Subex's customers achieve a solid RoI
through the software while improving overall customer satisfaction due to
reduced billing and service-related errors.
Chile Cancels TCS Deal
The Chilean government has cited irregularities and cancelled a $70 mn,
ten-year contract awarded to the top Indian software exporter, Tata Consultancy
Services (TCS). A probe was launched to look into the alleged irregularities
committed by a couple of TCS employees, barely a day after the firm won the
contract from a government arm through a tendering process.
Haier Selects ESS' ERP
Eastern Software System (ESS), an ERP company offering solutions and
services, has won a contract from Haier India, a home appliances and consumer
electronics company, to implement its flagship ERP product ebizframe for their
services business.
Four Soft, Liege in Deal
Four Soft Netherlands BV, a subsidiary of Four Soft India, has secured a
contract with Liege Handling Services, a Dutch-based ramp and warehouse handler
at Liege Airport, Belgium, to implement its freight forwarding software4S
eTrans SMEacross Liege's multiple locations.
Infosys to Support Conseco's IT System
Conseco has selected Infosys for a five-year contract to provide development and
maintenance services to its key business applications. Conseco is an insurance
provider focused on offering financial security for the life, health and
retirement needs of middle-market and senior Americans. According to the terms
of contract, Infosys will be supporting several mission-critical IT systems that
power Conseco's business, including new business, policy administration, claims,
audit management, marketing, and agent compensation.
Star Inks Deal with BT
BT has announced that its media and broadcast sector has been awarded a
multi-million dollar three year managed service IP network solution contract for
the Star group. Star broadcasts over sixty services in ten languages, reaching
more than 300 mn viewers in fifty-three countries across Asia. The service will
run across BT's Global Media Network, an MPLS-enabled IP network designed
specifically for carrying broadcast traffic.
CCS Bags Orders for Rs 1.5 cr
CCS Infotech has bagged orders worth Rs 1.5 crore from various prestigious
government and educational institutions. The company said that it has received a
Rs 60 lakh order from NCTPS, a Rs 11 lakh order from PWDWRD, and Rs 79 lakh
orders from various leading Chennai-based educational institutions. Through this
order, CCS Infotech will supply and maintain PCs, high-end servers, and laptops
in these institutions.
