Tech Mahindra has been chosen by Dixon Technologies to implement AI-led Industry 4.0 automation across all of Dixon’s manufacturing plants and R&D centres in India.
The partnership will drive Dixon’s transition into a smarter, more agile manufacturer, with a focus on real-time data visibility, production lifecycle intelligence, and integrated operations. The initiative aligns with India’s broader push to modernise its manufacturing infrastructure, as the country looks to deepen its global footprint in electronics and consumer durables.
Tech Mahindra will act as Dixon’s transformation partner, leveraging its expertise in AI, automation, and smart factory frameworks to consolidate and streamline the company’s digital operations. The implementation will aim to eliminate data silos, foster faster decision-making, and improve operational resilience across Dixon’s extensive network.
As part of the roadmap, Tech Mahindra will deploy AI-driven automation tools to create intelligent production environments that support proactive maintenance, predictive analytics, and adaptive workflows. The goal is to enable Dixon to achieve measurable outcomes in productivity, cost savings, and organisational agility.
The project is also expected to bolster Dixon’s global competitiveness by aligning its factories with Industry 4.0 best practices. This includes the creation of future-ready plants capable of handling dynamic manufacturing requirements, reducing downtime, and improving throughput.
The collaboration underscores the growing demand for AI and digital solutions in India’s manufacturing sector, especially as companies seek to enhance their resilience and sustainability. For Tech Mahindra, it further strengthens its position in the digital manufacturing space, reinforcing its “AI Delivered Right” strategy.
Founded in 1993, Dixon Technologies is India’s home-grown contract manufacturer across a range of verticals, including LED TVs, lighting, mobile phones, appliances, and IT hardware. With this new digital transformation initiative, the company signals its commitment to leading the next phase of industrial innovation from India.
