IBM and Scuderia Ferrari HP have launched a revamped mobile app aimed at transforming the Formula 1 fan experience through the power of generative AI. The redesigned app introduces a suite of new features designed to deliver deeper engagement and exclusive insights for the team’s global fanbase — estimated at nearly 400 million.
For the first time, the Scuderia Ferrari app is available in both English and Italian, reflecting the team's commitment to its international audience and Italian heritage.
At the core of the new app is an all-new Race Centre and Racing Insights section, powered by IBM’s watsonx AI platform. These features provide real-time access to race data, post-race analytics, and historical comparisons. Highlights include:

AI-Generated Race Summaries: Within hours of each Grand Prix, fans can access detailed narratives of Scuderia Ferrari HP’s performance, crafted using large language models on IBM’s watsonx platform. These recaps include input from drivers and the team principal.

Data Visualisations and Post-Race Insights: Fans can explore race data such as telemetry, weather conditions, track status, and strategy breakdowns through interactive visuals generated by watsonx technologies.

IBM and Scuderia Ferrari HP plan to release additional features throughout 2025, aiming to offer fans uninterrupted access to the team and its activities. The collaboration combines Ferrari’s racing heritage with IBM’s AI and data expertise to deliver a dynamic, personalised digital experience.
