Anthropic debuts Claude Interactive for real-time collaborative work

Anthropic has launched Claude Interactive, a feature that changes how users engage with its artificial intelligence models. This update moves the platform beyond static text exchanges. It provides a live workspace where the AI can execute code, generate charts, and edit documents in real time.

The system uses a side-by-side interface. Users type instructions in a chat window on the left, while the results appear in a dedicated window on the right. If a user asks the model to analyse a large dataset, the AI writes the necessary Python code and displays the resulting visualisation immediately. The user can then click on elements of the chart or code to request specific changes.

This release targets professionals who work with complex data or software development. For example, a software engineer can use the workspace to build a web application prototype. As the user describes features, the AI updates the live code and shows a preview of the interface. This setup eliminates the need for users to copy and paste code into separate editors to test if it works.
