CTET July 2020 Postponed, Fresh Dates Will Be Intimated Later

CTET July 2020, which is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, has been postponed for the time being due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in India. The next date of examination will be announced if and when the conditions are favourable said Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, union HRD minister.

The fourteenth Central Teachers Eligibility Test July 2020 (CTET July 2020) was earlier scheduled to be held on 5 July 2020. All the candidates who have already registered for CTET have been advised to visit the official CTET.nic.in website regularly for more information.

Earlier today, the Central Board of Secondary Education cancelled all pending CBSE board examinations for classes 10 and 12. The CBSE Board examinations were scheduled to be held from 1 to 15 July 2020. The decision to cancel exams was conveyed by CBSE to the Supreme Court.

Solicitor General (SG) Tushar Mehta said that as soon as conditions will be conducive, CBSE could conduct the CBSE class twelve examinations for students who opt for it. He also added that the board has a method wherein students will be awarded marks based on the performance in the past three examinations.
