Crest's amazing turnaround resulted from a strategic change-the decision
to concentrate on 3-D CGI animation business. It changed its corporate name to
Crest Animation Studios. About 95% for its revenue was garnered from 3-D CGI
animation for TV programs of overseas TV networks. Prominent among them were the
26-episode Pet Aliens for Turner's Cartoon Network and Jakers! Through its US
subsidiary, RichCrest Animation, it signed a deal with American Greetings to
produce two animated shows.
