This also led to citizens questioning is there was a shortage of Covaxin second dose. Nevertheless, the technical team of CoWIN has informed that this issue has nothing to do with shortage of vaccine and it was just a technical glitch. The team has also stated that the technical issue is likely to be resolved by the evening of 8 June 2021. The same development has been confirmed by other viewers who have been given the same reply.

“OTP sent by API is not valid on website cause unique TNX_ID should be matched on OTP validation API. I called the technical helpline number and customer executive. It’s known issue, and they will fix it by today evening,” said Bhupendra Kumar to Dataquest. Citizens are advised to try after some time once the issue sees resolution.

As of now, the problem still persists. The issue has affected the following beneficiaries the most according to a large number of viewers:

  1. Those who have to take the Covaxin second dose. Those booking slots for first dose are able to do so seamlessly.
  2. Those who have tried entering OTPs on the platform repeatedly.
  3. Those who have more than one beneficiaries added to their account.
