NComputing Raises $28 mn
NComputing has secured $28 mn in a series B round of financing. The funds will
be used to expand sales and operations in countries where affordable computing
is out of reach for many schools, businesses, and governments, and to support
ongoing research and development into the companys patented virtual computing
technology.
Oracle Organizes Teacher Training Event
Oracle has welcomed 59 teachers to its Oracle Academy Institute. During the
event, the teachers will work with Oracle Academy instructors to hone their
skills in one of the two courses they will deliver to their students. The 32
teachers who are new to the program will participate in training for the
Database Design and Programming with SQL course. The remaining 27 teachers
will prepare to teach a second course, Database Programming with PL/SQL.

identity in the companys history. The new brand is designed to reflect todays
Xerox. The new Xerox logo is now a lowercase treatment of the Xerox namein a
vibrant redalongside a sphere-shaped symbol sketched with lines that link to
form an illustrative X.
Microsoft Launches Revolutionary Campaign
Microsoft Hardware has launched a first-of-its-kind revolutionary campaign
Microsoft Lao, Haath Bachao in Delhi and eleven other cities to create
awareness about the importance of using ergonomically designed products. As part
of the campaign, Microsoft Hardware is staging plays in key commercial places
across twelve cities to educate people about the importance of using
ergonomically designed products.
Accenture Joins United Nations Global Compact
Accenture has joined the United Nations Global Compact, the worlds largest
voluntary corporate citizenship initiative. Joining the Global Compact
represents part of Accentures commitment to corporate responsibility, which is
also supported by initiatives such as Accenture Development Partnerships and the
companys work with the Global Health Initiative, among others.
