24x7 Learning Eyes Global Growth


24x7 Learning that provides e-learning solutions for Indian
enterprises plans to expand its footprint in the US and EMEA markets. The
company has announced that it closed funding from Karnataka venture fund outfit
KITVEN and two other investors. The company did not divulge the details of the
strategic investment, but in a statement it said that it hoped to pump in $10 mn
over the next two years towards expansion.

Aztec Opens Development Center

Aztec Software, a Bangalore-based company dealing with e-engineering
solutions and product development, has opened its development center in
Hyderabad. The company plans to invest Rs 500 mn in Hyderabad in the next three
to four years, according to its CEO V Chandrasekaran. The 250-seater center will
grow into a 1500 employee organisation, added Chandrasekaran.

LASON to Add 1,600 Employees

LASON India, a subsidiary of LASON, headquartered in Troy, Michigan, USA,
and a provider of BPO solutions, plans to add 1,600 new jobs in India to support
the growth of its business. LASON has recently expanded its operations and is to
move to a new 56,020-sqft facility here. The company said in a statement that it
is opening three new BPO centers in North America as well as adding
approximately 1,600 additional jobs in India over the next several months.

Perot Launches Infrastructure Services Operations

Texas-based Perot Systems Corporation, provider of IT solutions and business
solutions, has announced the launch of IT infrastructure operations from its
Noida and Bangalore facilities. Expanding its India footprint and employee base,
the company also dedicated a new office tower at its Noida campus. Built with an
investment of $8 mn-$9 mn, the new tower at Perot Systems' Noida campus,
currently housing infrastructure and applications teams, will seat up to 800 in
the coming months and includes an enterprise command center.

VIA Technologies to Set Up New Center

VIA Technologies, a leading innovator and developer of silicon chip
technologies and PC platform solutions announced that the first VIA technology
innovation center would be set up in Mumbai. The center would develop new VIA
pc-1 PHD computing and connectivity appliances that “combat power, heat, dust
and other environmental challenges” in developing markets around the world.

Synygy Plans Rs 25 crore Investment

Synygy India, an enterprise incentive management solutions provider, is set
to complete an investment of Rs 25 crore in its third year of operations. The
company has completed an investment of about Rs 28 crore in the last two years.
“We will increase head count to 300 by the end of 2006,” said Chetan Shah,
managing director, Synygy India.
