The last working day for Ramamoorthy will be 17 July 2020. Cognizant has seen several exits in the senior level after Humphries took charge of the company last year.

The senior level exits that Cognizant India witnessed over the last few months are Jaideep Poondir, senior vice president, banking and financial services; Rajesh Balaji, senior vice president and global delivery head, enterprise application services practice; Vinayambika Kidiyur, senior vice president and global delivery transformation head; Archana Ramanakumar, global delivery head of the life sciences business; and Vikash Gaur, global delivery head and digital engineering also quit the company recently.

Recently, Cognizant also made it to the headlines for reportedly laying-off as many as 18,000 employees. The Karnataka State IT/ITeS Employees Union has also sent legal notices to the organization as they claim to have received complaints about the matter.

Cognizant, however, issued a statement saying it is a “performance management” process which is normal happening in all IT companies and is not related to the Coronavirus pandemic. “Performance management is a normal process across all companies in the IT industry, including Cognizant. While Cognizant does not comment on rumor and speculation in the marketplace, we would like to clarify that recent third party allegations regarding a specific number of job actions are not accurate, not based on facts, and were not announced by Cognizant,” said a statement from the company.
