Online registrations for COGJET 2021, which will be held completely online this time, have begun and IIT Kanpur has invited applications from interested students. The Cognitive Science Joint Entrance Test is held for students seeking admission into postgraduate programs in cognitive science at IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, CBCS Allahabad, IIIT Hyderabad, and Panjab University Chandigarh. Students who have completed their three or four-year undergraduate degree, or those who expect to finish their degree by June 2021 are eligible to write the COGJET exam.
COGJET 2021 is being held completely online, and participating students may attempt the test from any location of their choice including their homes. However, interested students need to keep in mind that clearing the examination alone would not guarantee them admission into postgraduate programs in the participating institutions. IIT Kanpur and the other institutions involved may have additional eligibility conditions in addition to COGJET such as GATE or NET scores.
Important Details of the COGJET 2021 Examination
- Students attempting the test are required to have an elementary knowledge of psychology, neuroscience, mathematics and programming.
- The test will contain a small number of research papers and questions out of which candidates will have to choose exactly one research paper and answer the questions associated with that paper.
- There is a non-refundable application fee of Rs 500 for general category students, and Rs 300 for the rest that needs to be paid.
- The last date for submitting online applications is 6 February 2021.
- Candidates will have to fill the application within 60 minutes, which is the time limit for one session.
