CMC's Profit Up 15.9%

IT solutions provider CMC has reported a 15.9% rise in net profit at Rs 10.7

crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005, compared to Rs 9.2 crore for the

quarter ended December 31, 2004. Total revenue decreased 4.5% to Rs 195 crore

during the quarter under review, from Rs 205.2 crore in the year-ago period, the

company informed the BSE. The group has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs

12 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005, as against Rs 9.6 crore for

the corresponding quarter in 2004-05. Total revenue has decreased to Rs 211

crore for the quarter under review from Rs 216 crore in the same period last

fiscal.
