CMC and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) have announced an alliance to launch the UDAAN initiative in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).
Under the UDAAN initiative, CMC plans to train graduates from J&K in specialised IT skills in the area of Software Engineering, Software Development, Embedded Systems and IT Infrastructure Management through their flagship CMC JET (Job Enablement Training) program that will lead them to careers in the IT industry.
The selected youth will go through a three to four month full-time training program in CMC Academy Centers followed by a three month on the job training.
"CMC is committed to empowering the youth of India through specialised job enabling programs, bridging the skills gap and making the youth employable across a wide variety of skill areas" said R Ramanan, MD & CEO - CMC, "We are excited about participating in the UDAAN project with NSDC who have been leading the Skill Development initiative in India."
CMC has entered in an alliance with global institutions like Unitec of New Zealand to offer high end vocational education and training in India, leveraging its current spread and plans to rapidly expand its delivery network into emerging cities.
