ChatGPT, the popular language model-based chatbot, has announced several new features aimed at providing users with greater control over their data and privacy. ChatGPT Business will follow the company's API data usage policies, which means that end users' data won't be used to train the model by default. This new subscription will provide more control over data and end-user management, giving businesses and professionals the ability to customize their experience and meet their specific needs.

In addition to the ChatGPT Business subscription, the company has also introduced a new Export option in settings that makes it easier to export ChatGPT data and understand what information is stored. Users will receive a file with their conversations and all other relevant data in email.

ChatGPT Users Can Now Turn Off Chat History

ChatGPT has also introduced a new feature that allows users to turn off chat history. The new controls, which are rolling out to all users across the globe, can be found in ChatGPT’s settings and can be changed at any time. This new feature will give users the ability to manage their data more easily than the existing opt-out process. When chat history is disabled, conversations that are started won’t be used to train and improve the model, and won’t appear in the history sidebar.

According to the ChatGPT team, conversations that are started when chat history is disabled will be retained for 30 days and will only be reviewed when needed to monitor for abuse, before being permanently deleted. This new feature is designed to give users more control over their data and privacy.

By turning off chat history, users can prevent their conversations from being used to improve the model, which some users may find beneficial if they are concerned about their privacy. ChatGPT has become increasingly popular over the past few years as a tool for language processing, conversation simulation, and information retrieval. The company also emphasized that this new feature is just the beginning, and that they will continue to look for ways to enhance their service while respecting users' privacy preferences.
