CBSE has advised schools not to begin their academic year before 1 April 23-24

Another important news is that CBSE has advised schools not to begin their academic year before 1 April. The Board has vehemently objected to the school's decision to start the academic year early because it leaves significantly less to no time for extracurricular activities, which are equally as important as academics and include Health and Physical Education, Work Education, Life Skills, Value Education, and Community Service.
