The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow has extended the registration deadline for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023 until 5:00 p.m. on 20th September 2023. The institute has made this decision in response to the challenges faced by candidates in obtaining the required documentation for timely registration.
However, candidates should note that there will be no further extension of the registration deadline in the future. The CAT Convenor has strongly advised candidates to register well in advance to ensure a smooth and hassle-free registration process.
Even though once the registration window is closed, the registered candidates will have the opportunity to edit their application form in the following fields if needed.
- Photograph
- Signature
- Test city preferences
It has to be noted that the edit window will only be available to candidates who have successfully paid the registration fee and registered for CAT 2023 within the specified deadline.
About CAT examination
The CAT 2023 examination is scheduled for three sessions on 26th November 2023. The test will have a duration of 120 minutes and will consist of the following three sections.
- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
- Quantitative Ability
Candidates will be granted 40 minutes to answer questions in each section and they will not be allowed to switch between sections while answering questions. The institution has also provided tutorials for candidates to help them understand the test format on the CAT website starting from October 2023.
Here, candidates are strongly advised to familiarize themselves with these tutorials well in advance to make themselves comfortable during the test.
