Callidus Software launched its offshore development center in Hyderabad today and will be making extensive investment of close to $20 million in India in the next five years, according to Harish Reddy, vice-president and head of India centre at CallidusCloud in an exclusive interaction with Dataquest.
"India is a very important region for CallidusCloud's growth, and the opening of our development center will further strengthen our ability to support all our customers looking to gain competitive advantage through our hiring, learning, marketing and selling clouds," said Leslie Stretch, President and CEO, CallidusCloud.
CallidusCloud will be focussin on key verticals like pharmaceuticals, lifesciences, insurance, hitech and telecommunications. The company, at present, has 112 global insurance companies and 58 telecos as its clientele.
"Around 85 per cent of our revenues still comes from North America and we should see 30-40 per cent revenues coming from these two regions, overtime," said Stretch.
The 15,000 square foot facilities will accommodate 140 Cloud software professionals focused on delivering innovation and support for CallidusCloud's customers in the region and across the world.
"We are opening up new opportunities for local talent by providing a dynamic workplace that inspires innovation and collaboration to deliver more value," said stretch.
The modern facilities will provide a development and support center for all CallidusCloud customers, across the world. The city of Nizams, Hyderabad, offers cost-effective infrastructure as well as a pool of experienced, Cloud software professionals.
