A fully-owned subsidiary of the US-based Cadence Design Systems Inc, the
Indian wing–Cadence Design Systems (India)–is the largest R&D site of
the company outside the US. The company develops software for electronic design
automation and provides consulting services. It specializes in EDA, design
methodology development and VLSI. The company earned 89% of its total revenues
from exports and posted a figure of Rs 4.47 crore in net profit in 2002-03.
