CA Technologies opens new R&D center in Bangalore

With the objective of leveraging the new opportunities in emerging technologies, CA Technologies has opened an R&D Center in Bangalore. The company has another R&D Center in Hyderabad, but officials at the press conference stated that the Bangalore center is going to be different in its functioning and will be focusing exclusively on Emerging technologies including Mobility, Digital Payments, Big Data, Advanced Analytics, DevOps and Security. "The Bangalore R&D Center will be developing brand new solutions," a company official present at the press conference commented.

The R&D Center that currently houses around 300 engineers, will be looking at hiring more people in the coming months. Ram Varadarajan, general manager, New Business Innovation, CA Technologies, said, "The CA Bangalore Technology Center will house some of the best and brightest developers and focus on developing solutions that will power our customer's success."

Ram also indicated the company will also be looking at partnerships with educational institutions and will be exploring different avenues to tap into the right talent. He also stated that to do this the company will be exploring multiple avenues and will also be willing to search for talent from outside the IITs. "It is not about academics, but more about psychology," he said.

CA Technologies spends around $600M in R&D every year and will continue to make significant investments into technology innovations to cater to the increasing demand being created by emerging technologies across small and large enterprises.
