LaunchDarkly, a California feature management platform, recently announced the acquisition of Houseware, a trailblazer of warehouse-native product analytics and recipient of the 2022 Snowflake Startup Challenge.
The acquisition combines Houseware's data analysis expertise with LaunchDarkly's sophisticated experimentation strengths, allowing business enterprises to unearth actionable insights within their data warehouses. The end objective is shattering data silos, refining insights discovery, and achieving measureable business impacts at scale.
With more than 5,500 customers, a quarter of the Fortune 500 companies, LaunchDarkly is internationally renowned for contemporary software delivery solutions. The deal is in line with the company's mission to bring feature management, experimentation, and product analytics together under one platform, releasing features with accuracy.
Houseware's India-based team will be instrumental in building warehouse-native product analytics that will integrate perfectly with LaunchDarkly's platform as part of the integration.
Transforming Software Delivery with Data-Driven Insights
Commenting on the acquisition, Dan Rogers, CEO of LaunchDarkly, stated: “Organizations today are under immense pressure to maximize the impact of every new feature. Controlling feature releases is just one part of the equation—measuring and experimenting with them is equally critical to achieving the best ROI. By integrating Snowflake’s data capabilities with Houseware’s analytics expertise, we are poised to deliver unparalleled insights that will redefine software delivery for engineering, product, and data teams.”
Industry reports indicate that the global Product Analytics Market, valued at approximately $9.6 billion in 2021, is projected to reach $25.3 billion by 2026.
This acquisition positions LaunchDarkly to tap into this rapidly expanding market, offering an integrated platform with AI-powered analytics designed to maximize return on investment.
Advancing Experimentation with Snowflake Integration
In addition to the acquisition, LaunchDarkly recently announced the private preview of its Warehouse Native Experimentation solution, a Snowflake Native App.
Currently in limited release, this integration enhances data governance, scalability, and flexibility by embedding advanced experimentation capabilities within the Snowflake data environment.
