Students with degrees in engineering or technology have welcome news awaiting them as per the BSNL recruitment 2018 notification. The state owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has recently issued a notification stating that they are looking to hire nearly 300 employees for the role of management trainee (Telecom Operations), of which 150 posts will be filled by external employees.

The category-wise seats have been divided as follows: OC-76, SC-23, ST-11, OBC-40 and PWD-6. The Management Trainee will be appointed in the IDA pay scale, which means that he/she will receive from Rs 24,900 to Rs 50,500 with an annual increment of 3 percent.

Who is Eligible to Apply for BSNL Jobs

Indian nationals, not exceeding the age of 30 on 1 August 2019, holding a full term degree in Bachelor of engineering, Bachelor of Technology or equivalent engineering degree in telecommunications, electronics, electrical and Computer/IT with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates), as well as those holding an MBA or MTech degrees from a reputed Indian Institute or University on the last date of application are eligible for the job.

How to Apply for BSNL Jobs Online

Interested candidates will have to apply for the said BSNL jobs online, the registrations for which will start on 26 December 2018 and end on 26 January 2019. The online link will be provided and intimated through BSNL website. The non-refundable prescribed examination fee is Rs. 2200 for OC/OBC candidates and Rs. 1100 for SC/ST candidates and the payment would be required to be made through online mode like Internet banking, credit card or debit card only.

The Online Assessment Process for BSNL Jobs

The interested candidates will have to undergo an assessment process that constitutes management aptitude, cognitive and technical knowledge sections, wherein each section will carry marks of 150. The duration of the online exam will be of 3 hours. It would be a multiple choice question paper wherein negative marking would be applicable for wrong answers. The minimum qualifying marks will be 40 percent for General candidates, 36 percent for OBC candidates and 33 percent for SC/ST candidates for each section. The online assessment process would begin from 17 March 2019.
