Progeon increased its sales organization significantly during the year while
aligning it to the verticals and horizontals of its parent, Infosys. This not
only enhanced its visibility, but also improved the chances of converting many
cross-selling opportunities. Stress on higher per capita revenue productivity
services have relegated voice-based work to just 18%, the balance being shared
between data and KPO. It offers clients dedicated work areas. It is moving
towards activities that have a revenue model of transaction and value-based
pricing. For instance, it has gone into equity research and fixed income
research. In some of these areas, the per capita revenue productivity is very
comparable to Infosys and at times, even slightly higher.
