Bosch, NSDL e-Governance partner to offer scholarships for college students

The new scholarship program from Bosch, NSDL e-Governance aims at providing financial help to young students through Vidyasaarthi

In its bid to bridge the gap in education financing in India, Primavera India Trust, an organization founded by engineering and technology company, Bosch, has announced its association with NSDL e-Governance’s Vidyasaarathi scholarship platform. Deserving yet underprivileged students pursuing Class XI, XII, Full-time Diploma courses, BA, BCom, BSc and BE/BTech courses can now apply for scholarships through Vidyasaarathi.

Ever since its inception, Vidyasaarathi, has received tremendous response from the student community, said a press release. Students have applied for scholarships for studies in fields such as engineering and BSc, BCom among others.

Speaking about the development Gagan Rai, CEO and MD, NSDL e-Governance said: “We have received phenomenal response from Vidyasaarathi and have been able to reach out to over 7.5 lakh students so far. This association with Primavera India Trust will help in reaching out to the underprivileged, deserving students all across India. We wish to encourage students to dream big and work hard towards fulfilling their dream. Vidyasaarathi will be their support system by helping them with education financing. With Primavera India Trust on board, we believe more and more students will be benefitted.”

At Bosch, we believe that to bring about positive change, we need to enable students to pursue their academic dreams by ensuring they are not held back due to lack of funds. In this direction, we are pleased to partner with NSDL e-Governance and on-board our scholarship program on the Vidyasaarathi portal. We believe that this will help a section of the students in the society to meet their academic needs.”

Vidyasaarathi is a technology-enabled initiative by NSDL e-Gov, which enables underprivileged students procure financial assistance via corporate-funded scholarships. It aims to bridge the gap in education finance in the country through an online platform. Students can search and apply to various education finance schemes provided on merit by fund providers, industries, and corporate.

Over 7.5 Lakh students have registered on the Vidyasaarathi portal and more than 25 corporates have collaborated so far. Renowned names from the corporate world like TATA Housing, TransUnion CIBIL, Alkem Laboratories, ACC limited, JSW Foundation, Claris Lifesciences, etc. have associated already for supporting student education.
