The Pune center might be only one of the 11 ODCs for this Houston-based

software giant, but it accounted for nearly two-thirds of its total R&D

initiatives across the world. It announced further investment of $5.5 mn for its

Pune operation. The Pune center was made the global R&D hub for its Magic

Solutions division, which was acquired from Network Associates. The entire

component engineering of SmartDBA and some development work on PATROL Enterprise

Manager, Remedy Classic and Marimba software configuration management was

undertaken here.
