Blinkit Temporarily Unavailable from Past Three Days: Here’s What Riders Have to Say

Blinkit temporarily unavailable is a message that is being displayed on the popular instant grocery and essentials delivery platform. The app displays “Temporarily Unavailable. Store maintenance is in progress. We’ll notify you when we’re ready to serve you again,” whenever consumers try to order items. The real reason for this, however, is that Blinkit and Zomato recently revised their pay structure for delivery partners.

As per Blinkit's revised payment structure, delivery partners will be eligible to receive a minimum fee of only Rs 15 per delivery, as opposed to Rs 25 per delivery. Ashneer Grover, founder of BharatPe, has condemned this move by Blinkit. “BlinkIt / Zepto - problem is not ₹15 for delivery against ₹50. Problem is 10Min delivery has no economics - low ticket size and low margin can never be solved through forced low delivery cost. BlinkIt journey : 90 Min (bull run) —> Next day (bear run) —> 10 Min (bull run) —> ??” asks Grover on Twitter.

When Blinkit Temporarily Unavailable Issue Be Resolved?

While there is no word on when the services will be back again, some of the delivery partners have taken to social media to express their views. “l am working in blinkit company (Zomato) as a rider in lower parel and Dadar location. “Delivery can be done in 10 minutes but due to change of rate card( 15rs for per delivery and 12/km ) of Blinkit a few days back many riders are not ready to work,” says Shubham Agrahari on Twitter.

Another rider, Aakash Harlan pleads to authorities to change the rate card to the older one. “Sir please change the rate card. We riders are in deep trouble. Please restart the old rate card. We riders will be on the roads. We took a loan on bike to work with Blinkit. Please do something for us riders. iIt’s humble request to you,” he says. 

What the Company has to Say About Blinkit Temporarily Unavailable Issue

There is no official word from the company so far on the matter, and Blinkit maintains that the store is under maintenance. “Hi there, please accept our sincere apologies. Your Blinkit store is undergoing maintenance. We understand the hassle this must be causing you. Our teams are working on fixing this at the earliest, and we’ll be back very soon to serve you again,” says the official tweet from Blinkit Cares to a customer questioning them about the Blinkit temporarily unavailable issue.
