Bihar is getting its first IT park at Bihta, 30 km from Patna. With new technologies and infrastructure, it will be later developed as Bihar's IT hub. The IT park will be built on public-private partnership basis.
According to officials, a private consultancy company was hired to survey the land and to prepare a business plan for the proposed IT park. "Only after completion of the land survey, a decision will be taken about the design of the park," the officials said. The state government has acquired 25 acres for this
Officials said that IT giants like Infosys have shown interest for a plot near Bihta after the state government acquired hundreds of acres for setting up an IIT campus there.
