Bharat 2047 Blueprint: Quantifying the Success with 200 Key Result Areas

Convergence in divergence – the need for One Bharat blueprint 

Bharat has 28 states, 8 Union Territories, and various languages, cultures, and traditions. I firmly believe that while we are One Bharat as a nation, it is essential to safeguard regional prominence with the national interest of building a better Bharat. With this much divergence, making One Bharat is not easy. 

Hence there must be a blueprint for Bharat 2047 that becomes a guiding force and reference for each State and Union Territory. It is essential to contextualize and customize the blueprint to suit the aspirations and needs of that State and Union Territory without losing the national interest. 

Irrespective of political parties that come to power, they must always aim to create Better Today & Better Tomorrow. Without political will, a democratic country like Bharat becoming a super-developed country by 2047 (100 years after independence) is far from reality. Hence there is a greater need to create Bharat 2047 blueprint. 

For any transformative program like Bharat 2047, there must be a starting point. While many other like-minded people have been working on Bharat 100 or Bharat 2047 Blueprint, I am sharing here my perspective and thoughts by giving a reference blueprint to trigger discussion and debates and ignite the spark in the minds of every Bharatvasi to dream and work to realize Bharat 2047 mission, 

The most crucial dimension I am bringing in the Bharat 2047 blueprint is the role of technologies and modern cyber system. Technology becomes a driving force in building Bharat 2047 as the 4^th, 5^th,6^th, and 7^th Industrial revolutions are driven by and dependent on technologies. 

In this line, I have been writing a series of articles on Bharat 2047. In this article, I have tried translating 5 Themes and 30 Objectives of the Bharat 2047 blueprint into around 200 Key Result Areas. I strongly believe that realizing these 200 Key Result Areas in the next 25 years would make Bharat one of the top super-developed nations, and we could give a sweet gift to the next generations. 

That means Bharat must excel today in governance, investments, citizen services, growth, and operational excellence and must prepare for a better future. Doing the same thing repeatedly does not give different or better results. Hence understanding these Key Result Areas and translating them into an implementable action plan will make BHARAT GREAT again.

Objective 1: Establish accountable, responsible, transparent, and nearly autonomous governance for happy citizens, investors, and society.

Objective 3: Become the most preferred investment destination in different sectors.

1. Build Industry corridors as growth clusters
2. Invest in all modes of transportation with Intra and inter and international connectivity to attract investments (air, road, sea, rail, and others)
3. Increase Foreign Direct Investments (FDI)
4. Increase Investments in R&D
5. Increase private and government investments
6. Increase Renewable Energy Country Investment attractiveness
7. Introduce highly simplified and enhanced investment policies, business immunity programs, and business procedures leveraging technology systems 
8. Establish Joint ventures in other countries in the Public-Private partnership model 

Objective 4: Build sustainable and competitive smart mega-regions (an ecosystem of connected cities or States)

1. Increase the number of mega-regions that are the hubs of trade, transport, innovation, and talent
2. Become a source for many patented innovations in the world from mega-regions of Bharat 
3. Increase Bharat's GDP with maximum contribution from mega-regions 
4. Create a larger sharable talent pool among cities/ regions within mega-region  
5. Share and optimize regional assets such as airports, ports, and universities among cities/regions within mega-region 

Objective 5: Enable exponential growth of the economy and per-capita income aligning with current and future industrial revolutions by leveraging the modern cyber system

1. Develop new economic policies, laws, procedures, and economic infrastructure aligning with a technologically driven digital economy
2. Grow Per-capita Income exponentially

4. Increase legally binding cryptocurrency adoption and promote decentralized finance (DeFi)

Objective 6: Be the global leader in metaverse commerce leveraging NFTs and contributing to the economy.

1. Introduce policies, procedures, and laws, legal framework to design, build and operate virtual stores within various metaverse platforms leveraging Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs)
2. Build Made in Bharat education, gaming, and entertainment global brands and platforms within metaverse that would contribute to Bharat GDP 

Theme 2: Enhance people’s happiness with equity opportunities, high-quality health, education, standard of living, safety & security

Objective 7: Improve the quality of life and happiness by building best-in-class digital social infrastructure (smart healthcare, smart education, public facilities, multi-modal transportation system, etc.)

Key Result Areas

1. Introduce hub and spoke connected multispecialty hospitals and primary care centers covering cities, towns, and villages using digital infrastructure
2. Build many world-class qualified, and competent doctors by establishing digital-age medical institutions and infrastructure to serve the maximum number of people
3. Build millions of paramedical staff and train them on the latest smart medical tools, techniques, accessories, and devices to serve many people within a shorter time
4. Introduce a robotic education ecosystem to overcome the shortage of qualified and competent teachers
5. Increase the quality of education with the help of qualified and competent teachers from anywhere using immersive platforms that help take education to even remote locations
6. Prepare people to work collaboratively with robots, chatbots, Cobots
7. Build cost-effective infrastructure for self-driven vehicles
8. Build space travel elevators to promote space tourism

Objective 14: Leverage the sunlight, wind, and natural rise and fall of ocean tides and currents to generate the renewable energy

Objective 29: Build phydigital entertainment theme parks and different forms of tourism hubs leveraging digital technologies to provide unforgettable moments of experience to visitors

Objective 30: Produce international-scale movies which will be accepted by viewers in different countries

2. Produce movies that reach beyond Bharat boundaries in which they represent the multinational, community, or cultural traditions
3. Prepare Bharat to become the hub of producing international movies

Without having a holistic blueprint for Bharat 2047, all the initiatives, projects, programs identified by both public and private organizations may fail to create the required horsepower to pull Bharat to next orbit. 5 Themes, 30 Objectives, 200 Key Results (5-3-200) could form a basis for building Wealthy, Healthy, Blue, Green, and Compassionate Bharat and becoming a true Viswa Guru by 2047
