Risky client strategy hit company–the largest client sharply scaled back spending Revenues and net profits plummeted

Bangalore-based telecom software provider Axes Technologies had a bad year–revenues
plummeted 29% to Rs 56 crore, while net profit fell 57%. The trigger–over-dependence
on a single client, which suddenly cut down spending by close to 40%. Axes
Technologies, a company based in the United States with an offshore development
center in India, was also hit by continuing uncertainty in the telecom equipment
manufacturing sector.
