Amazon Web Services (AWS) India Private Limited has entered into a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe) to facilitate space-tech innovations using cloud computing. This collaborative effort aims to provide space startups, research institutions, and students with access to state-of-the-art cloud technologies, accelerating the creation of groundbreaking solutions within the space sector.

Developing Solutions for Urgent Problems

"Cloud computing-led innovations enable the space industry to make better decisions, faster - pushing the boundaries of possibilities, and AWS is committed to help startups identify use cases accelerate solution development, and build a strong talent pool in India with expertise in cloud and space. Supporting India's Space Objectives

ISRO, IN-SPACe, and AWS will jointly foster the space tech startup ecosystem. AWS will provide free access to tools, resources, and technical expertise to eligible space Startups through the AWS Activate program facilitating swift innovation and commercialization. Additionally, startups will also gain valuable insights and expertise from AWS 's global aerospace and satellite solutions through the AWS Space Accelerator program.

These three organizations will also join forces for a novel initiative aimed at educating students and educators in cloud computing. AI, ML, analytics, and security through the utilization of AWS educational programs. This initiative will empower students to pursue certifications in cloud computing that hold industry recognition and equip them to establish future space startups in India by using advanced technologies.
