ASUS launches new products and announces strategic relationship with Waves Audio

Taiwanese multinational, ASUS, together with Waves, providers of audio DSP for the professional and consumer markets, have recently announced an expanded relationship which will bring a new level of premium sound quality to ASUS consumer electronic products. This agreement will incorporate Waves MaxxAudio® Master processing into all ASUS products that feature ASUS SonicMaster audio technology.

As the driving engine of ASUS SonicMaster, MaxxAudio Master processing, with its performance characteristics, will enhance the clarity and depth of the user's listening experience, whether enjoying a game, multimedia selection of music and movies, or for online communication purposes.

"We are certain that this strategic implementation of Waves' embedded technologies will provide a new level of satisfaction to the ASUS user experience." "ASUS is well known for groundbreaking products, its innovative designs deserve innovative audio technology to match," stated Tomer Elbaz, Executive Vice President, Waves Consumer Division. "ASUS Golden Ears Team makes an exceptional use of MaxxAudio professional sound technologies to create a unique, premium audio experience. Thanks to this winning combination, ASUS users, whether working with a mobile device or a high-end workstation, can expect best-in-class sound quality."

ASUS also announced the Transformer Book Duet TD300, PadFone Mini, VivoTab Note 8, ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5, ZenFone 6 at CES 2014. The Transformer Book Duet (TD300), the world's first quad-mode, dual-OS laptop and tablet convertible allows users to switch between Windows and Android in either laptop or tablet modes in just four seconds, with just a single push of the Instant Switch button or a virtual key on the tablet. With a powerful Intel® CoreTM i7 processor at its heart, Transformer Book Duet runs up to twice as fast as existing tablets based on ARM® processors. ASUS SonicMaster technology and two speakers ensure that Transformer Book Duet delivers incredible audio for immersive entertainment.

The PadFone mini, on the other hand is a 4-inch smartphone that transforms into an 7-inch tablet. PadFone mini offers a 1280 x 800-pixel display.
The VivoTab Note 8 is a Windows 8.1 pen-based tablet featuring a professional Wacom® digitizer stylus. Designed for professionals and students alike and bundled with Microsoft® Office Home and Student, which includes Microsoft WordTM, Excel TM, PowerPoint TM and OneNoteTM, VivoTab Note 8's 380g weight gives the user the option of operating the tool single handedly. The ZenFone is a brand-new high-value smartphone series that offers a choice of screen sizes from 4 to 6 inches and is available in an array of colours.

ZenFone also introduces ZenUI, a new user interface that's exclusive to ASUS smart devices. With simplified icons and menus, a selection of themes designed to match the device colors and a What's Next feature that helps users keep track of their lives, ZenUI is the front end of these new devices.

The ASUS PadFone mini will be available worldwide from Q2, 2014. The availability of ASUS ZenFone, however, varies by territory.
