“Every Board is thinking of cancelling their exams and in the between that the State Board of Assam is firm in the decision to conduct examinations. They don't want to cancel exams at any cost. Are the students of ASSAM COVID proof? When will exam be taken? No answer!” says Pankaj Dutta. As per reports, Assam board exams will be conducted, and  students have been asked to be prepared for the examinations.

The state government is hoping to conduct Assam board exams by following proper guidelines, and the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has recommended conducting examinations for three subjects. Nevertheless, students have been raising apprehensions with regard to this development saying they are as vulnerable to the virus as CBSE students. “It seems like Assam government wants to create history by organising Board exams in this tough pandemic situation,” says another students.

Prime minister Narendra Modi while cancelling the CBSE board exams 2021 had said that the health and welfare of students was the Indian Government’s topmost priority. “It has been a chaotic year for students. The joys of growing up partly snatched away, confined to their homes, less time with friends. As you said, in the current times, this was the best and most student friendly decision.” he said.

“The decision on Class XII exams was taken after an extensive consultive process. We got several inputs from all over the nation, which were insightful and enabled us to take a student-friendly decision,” added PM Modi on the CBSE board exams 2021.
