Are students selling 'free' laptops in UP?

Ever wondered if laptops could heal your wounds? Well that is true in Uttar Pradesh where the Samajwadi Party has completed one year in office under Akhilesh Yadav's leadership. It is not hidden that his poll promise to abolish crime has fallen flat. So the laptop distribution to students just in time, before completing one year, so that the government could count on its achievements to celebrate one year.

Symbolically, the laptops mark a big change in SP's attitude because Mulayam Singh, himself, opposed the computers. Not to go in these nitty-gritty. Now the rumors are taking rounds that students given free laptops are further trying to sell these laptops at cheaper rates. If true, the purpose of giving laptops will run down the drains. Also it will cause double whammy. It will disappoint the laptop suppliers who will fear downgrade from customers in the UP market. It has happened in Tamil Nadu where the supplying companies had raised the matter.

Hence, it is important that the government also takes care of the supplier interest and see if students really make use of the PC machines.
