	Grew 6% in a declining industry Buyout by SSI will strengthen the company

For the first full year of being a training company, Aptech reported 6%
revenue growth–the only company that grew amongst the top 10 IT training
vendors. A significant development during the year was SSI buying out Aptech and
merging the training businesses under the Aptech brand. The move was aimed at
integrating all operations, except sales and business development. The combined
entity may now look for further acquisitions during the year. Global business
from China, Vietnam, Nigeria, Russia and countries in Latin America brought in
good returns, while institutional business in India, specifically from the
government and BPO segments, helped achieve growth. Retail education courses
registered an increase in enrolments over the previous year. The multimedia and
animation brand under Aptech–Arena–remained strong, with nearly 15%
contribution to the overall kitty.
