The Reliance Foundation Scholarships program, recognized as one of India's most extensive and diverse scholarship initiative higher education scholarship initiatives, is now accepting applications for 5,000 undergraduate scholarships for the 2023-24 academic year. The application window is open until October 15, 2023, for all first-year regular undergraduate students from various branches of study.

Reliance's Founder Chairman, Shri Dhirubhai Ambani, firmly believed in the significance of investing in the potential and capabilities of youth. In alignment with this vision, the Reliance Foundation Scholarships are dedicated to enhancing young people's access to higher education. In December 2022, marking the 90th birth anniversary of Shri Dhirubhai Ambani, Mrs. Nita Ambani, Founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, made an announcement. She unveiled Reliance Foundation's substantial commitment to provide scholarships to 50,000 students over the next 10 years as part of her vision to empower the youth for a better tomorrow.

The Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship program employs a merit-cum-means for undergraduate college education, allowing them to pursue their studies without financial constraints. These scholarships are designed to empower students, facilitating their journey toward becoming successful professionals and achieving their dreams by, unlocking their potential. These scholarships enable individuals to uplift themselves and their communities, ultimately contributing to India's future socio-economic development.

The Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships program will provide chosen scholars with grants of up to Rs. 2 lakhs for the entire duration of their course study. Additionally, scholars will benefit from an empowering support network designed to enhance their holistic development, as well as access to a dynamic alumni community. The program encourages applications from female candidates and individuals with disabilities. Scholar selection will be based on performance in an aptitude test, Class 12 examination scores, household income, and other eligibility criteria.

Since 1996, Reliance has been providing support for undergraduate scholarships through the Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarships and Reliance Foundation Scholarships. This support has benefitted over 18,000 young individuals, with more than half women and nearly 2,800 individuals with disabilities. Many scholars have pursued their education at esteemed institutions and have assumed leadership roles in both their communities and various organizations, both in India and abroad.

For the 2022-23 Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships, nearly one lakh students showed interest by registering. Among the 40,000 applications received from students representing almost all states of India, 5,000 scholars were chosen based on their eligibility and performance in the aptitude test. Among these selected scholars, 51% were women, and 97 scholars had disabilities. These scholars were from 1,630 educational institutions, pursuing full-time undergraduate courses across various academic disciplines.
