Apple iPad mini to cost Rs 18K?

It was the launch everyone was waiting for- the launch of iPad Mini.

In the typical Apple style, the company launched its mini version of its path breaking tablet. It's a scaled down version of original iPad but with no corners cut on user experience, the company says it brings in the same unique Apple experience.

An Apple press release says, ""iPad mini is every inch an iPad. With its gorgeous 7.9-inch display, iPad mini features the same number of pixels as the original iPad and iPad 2, so you can run more than 275,000 apps designed specifically for iPad," said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. "iPad mini is as thin as a pencil and as light as a pad of paper, yet packs a fast A5 chip, FaceTime HD and 5 megapixel iSight cameras and ultrafast wireless-all while delivering up to 10 hours of battery life."

The 16 GB iPad Mini will start from $329 and will go on sale from November 2. While the exact availability and price of iPad Mini in India is not yet known, but Apple watchers say that it will be sooner than later as Apple in order to capitalize on the festive season might expedite its availability. With the expected pricing of sub Rs 20 K, will iPad mini shake up the market here is to be seen. Apple also launched 4th generation iPad with A6 processor.
