AMD Signs MoU With SemIndia   

AMD has signed a MoU with SemIndia to bring semiconductor-manufacturing

capabilities to India. The agreement will cover manufacturing, technology

licensing and business development to meet the growing demands for computers

based on x86 microprocessor in India. The Union IT Ministry has supported the

partnership.

"We will remember this day as a historic milestone in

India's economic and manufacturing process. We are proud that the AMD's industry

leading microprocessors and manufacturing capabilities will enable SemIndia to

develop its own innovative solutions and expand the global market,"

chairman of the board, president and CEO of AMD, Hector Ruiz said.
