AMD India further leveraged its partnerships with key OEMs on the 64-bit
front. Launching its dual-core server and workstation solutions with
multi-tasking computing for enterprise users, AMD widened its existing OEM
agreements with IBM and Sun Microsystems for the Indian market. Athlon 64 was
the highlight for AMD in the previous year as it increased the share of Athlon
64 to 40% of the total product mix, up from 10% in 2003-04. Amongst its success
stories on the 64-bit desktop space were AGMARK.NET and CRIS.
