Amazon India has invited women engineering students to register on the Amazon Wow platform to help them find jobs in India. Amazon WoW is a networking platform for all women engineering students in India that connects them to Amazon leaders, student recruiters, and the broader Amazon community. Apart from helping students make an informed career choice, the platform also aims at helping women participate in skill building sessions, utilise available resources, converse with alumni on their career experiences, and be acquainted with the culture at Amazon.
The platform is most beneficial for a woman student who is pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering. Any women student who is currently pursuing a four-year BTech, BE or two-year MCA, MTech or ME program or five year Dual Degree can participate. “This initiative allows us to reach students soon after they enroll in the engineering course, nurture and engage with them over several years. This will enable and empower students to make the best career choice at the end of their education,” said Suman Yadav, Head of Student Programs, APAC.
How Amazon India Aims at Helping Women Engineering Students through the Platform?
Interested women engineering students will first have to register on the Amazon Wow platform. Registered participants will then be engaged through virtual events, live sessions, interview prep sessions, online workshops, and fireside chats with Amazon’s tech leaders, and recent hires. The events, hosted throughout the year, will help aspirants understand how to prepare for and plan their career journey. The events will also provide an insight to Amazon culture and offerings, allowing participants to apply for open roles, says the company.
How to Join Amazon Wow Platform by Amazon India?
Interested participants can register on the official website after 14 June 2021 onwards. The Amazon WoW program aims to engage and connect with registered participants on an ongoing basis. The events will be conducted virtually and the list of events for every quarter will be published in the events section.
Each session will have limited number of slots and will be filled through RSVP. Participants will have to register for each session to be part of the live session. They will also have access to recordings of the session post completion of each session.
