Websense, Microsoft, and Network Engines Work Together
Websense, a provider of employee internet management solutions, and
Network Engines, a security appliance vendor, will work together with Microsoft
to offer customers a program designed to provide demand generation, upgrade
programs, and channel enablement for Websense Web Security Suite and Microsoft
Internet Security & Acceleration (ISA) Server software integrated with the
Network Engines NS Series Security Appliances.
QuEST Ties-up with Toshiba
Quality Engineering and Software Technologies (QuEST), a provider of
engineering solutions for advanced technology products, has announced a tie-up
with Industrial and Power Systems & Services Company (IPS), one of the
in-house companies of Japan's Toshiba Corporation. This tie-up will enable IPS
to leverage QuEST's resources and skills in areas of engineering and
manufacturing services. According to the agreement, QuEST will extend its
support to IPS in the areas of turbo-machinery components and their related
accessories, specifically in the power generation equipment segment.
Pointsec Joins Microsoft's Alliance
Pointsec Mobile Technologies, a global leader and provider of the de
facto standard for enterprise security software for laptop and desktop PCs, PDAs
and smartphones, has announced that it has joined the SecureIT Alliance, where
it will work with industry leaders to provide security solutions for the
Microsoft platform. As a member of the SecureIT Alliance, Pointsec will work to
enhance Microsoft applications platform security and to provide more trustworthy
computing solutions to customers worldwide.
HCL Tech, Cisco Announce Royalty Partnership
HCL Technologies and Cisco Systems have announced royalty model of
partnership, where Cisco has licensed HCL the intellectual property for one of
its network management products, and HCL will be responsible for enhancement of
the product.
Addressing a press conference in Chennai, Shiva Nadar,
founder, HCL, said that the team strength at Cisco centre in Chennai had grown
to 1100 employees from around 30 in 1996. The centre was rated as high as the
product development centres of Cisco in the US.
ZyXEL Announces Collaboration with Kaspersky
Broadband access solutions provider ZyXEL Communications has
announced its collaboration with Kaspersky Lab. Following this collaboration,
Kaspersky anti-virus technology is being integrated into 8-in-1 ZyWALL Unified
Threat Management (UTM) products. The collaboration will offer a six-month trial
subscription for Kaspersky Anti-Virus database updates. Kaspersky has recently
introduced a special sub-set of signatures for viruses In-The-Wild, in response
to modern network-borne threats. This sub-set has been implemented into ZyWALL
UTM to protect the gateway against ITW viruses at wire speed.
SavaJe Confirms Partnership with HCL
SavaJe Technologies has announced that it has entered into a
partnership with HCL Technologies to enhance the engineering development
resource for its Java ME-based operating platform. The partnership with HCL will
provide SavaJe with flexibility to scale its engineering operations to suit the
requirements of operators and device manufacturers, while strengthening the
development of its core platform roadmap.
AXA BS Partners with Caritor
AXA Business Services, BPO subsidiary in India of AXA, has selected Caritor
to implement mySAP ERP solution. The implementation will enable AXA BS to
integrate their entire HR and financial processes through HR, payroll, finance,
control and purchase modules and the SAP Portal. AXA Business Services is the
BPO arm of AXA France, with 2200 strong workforce in India.
TCS in Pact with Stanford University
TCS has announced that it has entered into a five-year research and
development collaboration with Stanford University for research in the critical
area of data privacy. TCS and the Computer Science department at Stanford
University will work on joint projects focused in the area.
ZyXEL, Kaspersky Offer Gateway Anti-virus
ZyXEL Communications, broadband access solutions provider has announced its
successful collaboration with Kaspersky Lab that has resulted in Kaspersky
anti-virus technology being seamlessly integrated into 8-in-1 ZyWALL Unified
Threat Management (UTM) products.
