Ordina and Cognizant Enter Into a Strategic Alliance
Cognizant and Ordina, Dutch IT services provider has announced a strategic
alliance focused on combining Cognizant's global delivery model with Ordina's
consulting, ICT and outsourcing solutions to the Dutch and Belgian markets. The
two companies will jointly offer global delivery solutions for Ordina's Top 40
customers in the financial services, public, industrial and telecommunications
markets.
EMC, Oracle in Collaboration
EMC and Oracle has declared several areas of joint support under the Oracle
Unbreakable Linux program. EMC's E-Lab and Oracle Engineering has tested and
qualified Oracle Enterprise Linux on core EMC platforms and software products to
help ensure ease of deployment and use. EMC is a certified Advantage Partner in
the Oracle PartnerNetwork. EMC Oracle Joint Escalation Center, where EMC and
Oracle collaborate for customer issues, back the solutions.
Dell Allies with Microsoft and Novell
DELL has agreed to work with Microsoft and Novell, under an alliance the rival
software makers formed last year, to make it easier for the Windows operating
system and the increasingly popular Linux system to work together, the
companies. Microsoft and Novell said Dell has agreed to buy Suse Linux
Enterprise Server certificates from Microsoft and that the computer maker will
set up a services and marketing program aimed at getting users of open-source
platforms.
TCS, Microsoft Tie up
TCS has joined hands with Microsoft to deliver RFID solutions to global
companies. TCS has launched an initiative to develop RFID solutions built on
Microsoft BizTalk RFID to help companies simplify business processes, innovate
more effectively, drive business efficiencies and enable deeper customer
satisfaction. It offers solutions and services that cover the full spectrum of
RFID deployment, including business consulting, architecture design, radio
frequency equipment selection and installation, software development and
implementation, systems integration, and maintenance.
3i Infotech Partners FINO
3i Infotech, a global provider of IT solutions and one of the leading
e-Governance consultancy services organizations, has partnered with Financial
Information Network and Operations (FINO), to provide financial services through
low cost technology enabled delivery channels, using common service centers (CSCs).
3i Infotech has plans for setting up CSCs and has already won CSC projects in
two states.
PTC Expands its Channel
PTC, the product development company, has announced the appointment of KLG
Systel, a leading plant and design life cycle solutions company, as a value
added reseller. According to the agreement, KLG Systel will resell the PTC
products, such as Pro/ENGINEER for computer aided design, manufacturing and
engineering, mathcad for engineering calculations, windchill for product
lifecycle management, etc.
