AICTE scholarship 2023 for girls is once gain being offered, and applications are currently being accepted for 5000 scholarships available throughout the country. Pragati scheme is an initiative launched by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to support female students with a family income of lesser than 8 lakhs per annum. Selected girls will receive Rs 50,000 per year for 4 years 

Apart from the 5000 scholarships, all eligible girls who submit online scholarship form, all eligible girls who apply from the following 13 Union Territories and North Eastern States namely  Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Lakshadweep, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura will be given scholarship by AICTE. 

Who Can Apply for AICTE Scholarship 2023?

The scholarship opportunity is open to female students pursuing their degree or diploma, as long as the following criteria is met with:

  • The girl candidate should be admitted to the first year of degree level course or second year of degree level course through lateral entry in any of the AICTE approved Institution of the respective years.
  • A maximum of two girls from each family may apply for the AICTE Pragati Scheme.
  • The family income of the applicants should not be more than 8 lakhs per annum, and a valid income certificate issued by the State or Union Territory Government needs to be enclosed as proof.

 How to Apply for Apply for AICTE Scholarship 2023?

Those who wish to apply will have to take the below mentioned steps 17 January 2023:

  • Candidates who meet the required eligibility conditions will have to apply online on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
  • The host institution where the candidate is studying will then have to verify the submitted online application.
  • The Department of Technical Education (DTE) of the respective State or Union Territory will verify these applications as a second level of scrutiny.

After selection, candidates studying in the first year will receive Rs 50,000 per year for a maximum of up to four years  or maximum of three years for those applying through lateral mode through direct bank transfer.
