AICTE Pragati Scheme for Girls: Here’s How Scholarship Worth Rs 50,000 Per Month Has Been Awarded

AICTE Pragati scheme for girls has been rewarded to 7723 female students studying across different institutions in India under technical degree and diploma polytechnics in various institutes across India, Amit Srivastava, director (on deputation), All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). Rs 50,000 per year will be disbursed to each candidate, which amounts to Rs 50,000 per year totaling Rs 38.615 crores.

The scholarship, for which a maximum of two female candidates from a single family with an annual income of less than Rs 8 lakhs can apply, will be provided for a maximum of four years. The scholarship will be renewed for the next year of study on receipt of renewal through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) by submitting a promotion certificate along with the letter from the Head of Institution in the online portal.

Amit Srivastava has informed through his official account on Twitter that this is how the AICTE Pragati scheme for girls has been distributed to women pursuing their technical degree and diploma:

  • 322 girl students studying in Madhya Pradesh.
  • 295 girl students studying in Rajasthan.
  • 211 girl students studying in West Bengal.
  • 244 girl students studying in Assam.
  • 182 girl students studying in Tripura.
  • 100 girl students studying in Uttarakhand.
  • 297 girl students studying in Odisha.
  • 101 girl students studying in Himachal Pradesh.
  • 280 girl students studying in Haryana.
  • 702 girl students studying in Uttar Pradesh.
  • 504 girl students studying in North East India.
  • 480 girl students studying in Jammu and Kashmir.
